The summer before my Senior year, I took a college class at Cornell University called Social Entrepreneurship. During our highly interactive class, we engaged in readings, case studies, guest lectures, self-reflection, critical analysis, research, and direct action. We learned the fundamental principles for solving problems, fostering innovation, and creating social change.
The capstone project was to conceive, design, and develop a Big Idea for Social Change. My group and I constructed a plan for social change to address a current issue: Accessibility to Healthy Food in Mississippi. We presented it together to our professor and classmates. Below is a video of our presentation, and pictures of my group and classmates.
